The American Wall Street Journal reports that CBS paid a large sum of money for the rights to the upcoming interview with the British Prince, Harry, and his American wife, Meghan.

The newspaper explained that US Channel paid between US $7 million to the media production company Oprah Winfrey to win the rights to broadcast the interview, while Harry and Meghan's spokeswoman revealed that the couple had not been compensated for the interview.

According to the agreement with Winfrey, CBS has interview rights on the world market, where the interview will be broadcast Monday on ITV in Britain for an unspecified amount of money.

The upcoming interview is scheduled to be published later, Sunday evening, at peak time, after the well-known "60 Minutes" programme.

And choosing this date is not in vain. Sunday nights are the times when Americans watch TV, especially CBS.

And to the crowd, CBS aired small clips of the two - hour interview.

From these details, Winfrey contacted Meghan before her wedding in 2020, for an interview, a request that was denied.

Megan also accused Buckingham Palace of "establishing fabrications" about her and her husband and said they would not refrain from publishing their version of events.

The Royal Palace said it was "deeply concerned" by reports in "The Times" that Meghan bullied assistants who worked with her two years ago.

But the couple denied it, which adds to the importance of the interview that will reveal the subtlety of the relationship in the British family.

The television interview is reportedly the first since Harry and Meghan left royal duties and bought a house in the United States last year.
