To join the space tourism waves that British company Virgin Galactic is sending into outer space, and in the past, the first ever, an Egyptian tourism company announced the first space flight in Egypt.
In an announcement on its website, the Egyptian Tourism Company said that the final cost of the space flight was estimated at 35.7 million Egyptian pounds (US $467,000), following a reduction of 50,000 Egyptian pounds (US $3,000).
According to the announcement, the flight begins with a smooth launch on the runway of the Virgin Galactic spaceflight, at an altitude of approximately 45 ft (13700 m). The aircraft ignites its rocket engine after separation from the carrier aircraft.
The pilots then drive the vehicle into space at a speed of just over Mach 3, and on reaching space the colors outside the window change from blue to indigo and then black.
During the space flight, at an altitude of 300,000 feet (91,440 m), the traveler can test weightlessness and can see the planet Earth from 17 windows, with 16 cameras to record all the moments of this journey.
The Egyptian company announced 5 dates for those wishing to register, during the months of July, September and December of 2022, and January and May of 2023.
