Roman Grogan, the driver, spoke for the first time about a terrible accident in the Bahrain Grand Prix.

On Sunday, the driver hit a fence after being hit by Russian athlete Daniel Kviat's car, causing the car to split in half and set fire to it. The Frenchman got out of the burning car, after suffering small burns on his hands.

"I did not lose consciousness and saw flames surrounding me. I had to get out of the car to see my children. Never before had I experienced such an accident in my life - even in Hollywood - and I stayed inside the fire for a while," LCI quoted the 34-year-old athlete as saying. 28 seconds, but it seemed to me that that period was much longer than that. I was able to break free from my seat belts, my hands were covered with burns, and my legs were stretched out to such an extent that I thought they were broken. And I am glad to be alive after this terrible accident. "

Grogan posted a photo on his Instagram account that showed him exercising. And the athlete admitted on the blog that he was happy to be able to do it.

He said, "I never thought that some squatting would make me happy. My body is recovering well after the accident. I hope it will be the same with burns on my hand."

It is noteworthy that the aforementioned accident occurred after the collision of French Grogan with the Russian driver of the "Alpha Tauri" team, Daniel Kviat.
