Dutch Red Bull driver Max Verstappen outperformed everyone in the third and final free trial round of the Bahrain Grand Prix in the Formula 1 World Championship for cars, on Saturday

Verstappen cut the 5.4-km-long "Sakhir" circuit in one minute and 28.355 seconds, 0.263 seconds ahead of the seven-time world champion, Lewis Hamilton, a Mercedes driver.

Finland's Valtteri Bottas, second Mercedes driver, finished third, 0.366 seconds behind the leaders.

The second "Red Bull" driver, Alexander Albon, coming from Thailand, gave a strong performance, and finished fourth, after replacing his car body after he suffered a major accident in the second round on Friday.

Although the "Ferrari" team dominated the race last year, its drivers did not achieve a good result this time, and its veteran German driver Sebastian Vettel came in 13th, while his colleague Charles Leclerc, coming from Monaco, came in 15th.

Vettel excels in the number of starts from first place and the number of times winning the Bahrain race over all drivers of the championship.
