Jürgen Klopp, Liverpool coach, defended his Egyptian star, Mohamed Salah, after the player was criticized for his penalty kick against West Ham United.

Salah was subjected to many criticisms, as some find that he claimed representation inside the penalty area, in order to deceive the referees and obtain a penalty kick.

The German coach responded at the conference on Tuesday's confrontation with Atlanta, saying: "I have nothing to say, it was largely against everyone who saw it."

He added: "Believe it or not, I spoke with Salah yesterday morning (Sunday), and I asked him about his condition, and he told me that he was hit by three blows in the match, one of which was in the penalty area, but he did not fall."

He concluded, "We do not talk much about penalty kicks that we did not get after two days, but some people still talk about a penalty we got, even though the match was on Saturday."

The "Reds" defeated its guest West Ham United (2-1) in the match that brought them together last Saturday, in the framework of the seventh round of the Premier League.

Salah scored the equalizer in that match, after he fell as a result of the interference of Mosako, the Hammers' defender, and got a penalty kick.

Liverpool raised its score after this victory to 16 points, and climbed to the top of the "Premier League", three points ahead of its neighbors Everton, who will visit Newcastle United.
