The Algerian Football Federation announced its withdrawal from the race to host one of the two editions of the African Cup of nations for two years
2025 and 2027 today is Tuesday.

Algerian television was quoted in its account on the social networking platform "X" about the new president of the Algerian Federation
Walid Sadi said today that "Algeria officially withdraws its candidacy file to host the 2025 and 2027 African Cup of nations".
Algeria's announcement comes one day before the meeting of the Executive Office of the Confederation of African Football (CAF) and the announcement of the two winning files.
The Algerian federation said in a statement that " the federation has sent to CAF informing it of the decision to withdraw the file of Algeria's candidacy to host the cup
The United Nations in 2025 and 2027".
The Federation revealed that the decision to withdraw the regulation file comes within a plan to develop the game in the country.
The statement added, "This withdrawal comes due to the new approach taken by the federation in the development strategy of football in Algeria"،
"The Algerian FA will now focus its efforts on the reorganization and revitalization of football and reiterates its unwavering commitment to the development of football
African".
Several reports have stated that Morocco will win the right to host the 2025 cup of nations, while the next edition will be held two years later in
Senegal.
Algeria previously hosted the tournament in 1990, when it was crowned for the first time after beating Nigeria in the final.
