Gaultier worked last season with Nice before moving to Paris Saint-Germain, but within the last few hours, the radio revealed that the club's former director of football, Julien Fournier, had exposed the coach as being racist against black and Muslim players.

Fournier confirmed through an email to the CEO of Nice, Dave Brailsford, whose details were published by the radio, that Galtier was against the presence of black and Muslim players in the team in order to preserve the tradition of the city of "Nice" and the fans of the French club.
He wrote:

“Dave, I feel it is important, in light of your new post-season responsibilities, to share with you in detail what has affected me most throughout the season. ".
He added, "Last season, I accepted many of the decisions that the coach wanted throughout the season, which contradict my values and principles, but I wanted to tell you about them after my departure from the team."

And he continued: “There was a meeting on August 9, 2021, urgently, at the request of the coach’s son and his agent, two days after the Stade Reims match in the French League, because they said that Galtier had a problem and could not bear it. I thought the problem was sporting, but it was not like that.” ".

And he continued:

“He told me that his father was unstable in his work with the team, and he did not feel comfortable with what was happening. I did not understand what he was saying and asked him to explain the matter in more detail, and he began to tell me that his father said that he had formed a team of some scum.”

And he continued:

“I was in a state of shock from this conversation, trying to imagine its reality, so I asked him for more details, and he told me that the team includes players with dark skin only and the others are Muslims who are present in the mosque in the afternoon, after which I asked Mr. John Valvovich Galtier (son of foster coach) leaving my office immediately because I was offended."

Fournier continued in the narration by the mile:

“Galtier came to my office and welcomed his son, who asked me to listen to his father to verify what he says. Black and Muslim players on the team."

He added, "Galtier told me that he went down to the restaurant last night, and found a lot of black players in the team, and asked me to understand very well what city we live in, we are the city of Mayor Jack Medicine, our team does not represent what people want, we did not have any sports discussion Rather, the conversation was about religion and skin color.”

And he continued:

“This meeting had an impact on my work throughout the season, and I thought that the issue was over and we would not talk about it until the month of Ramadan (2022) came, which forced me to intervene again in an official way because it is among my tasks to impose more stability.”

And he continued: “The weeks before Ramadan were an opportunity for Galtier to constantly complain about the fact that we have a large number of Muslim players, but the coach’s complaint turned into unjustified anger because the performance during this period was very impressive, and yet he continued to complain.”

And he continued:

“There was a meeting with Galtier before the end of the season to prepare a plan for the next season, to find out the players he wants to sell and who are the players he wants to sign within the summer Mercato, so he asked me to limit as much as possible the number of Muslim players in the team, he wanted to get rid of 5 players.” They are Jean-Claire Todibo, Youssef Attal, Hisham Boudaoui, Amine Jouiri and Mario Lamina.

And about the new deals: “I was talking to him about defender Ojan Kabak, whom we wanted to include to support the team. He answered me that he is Turkish and Muslim and therefore he does not want him. My reaction at the time was not to respond, for fear of another problem affecting our relationship, which is from the beginning. Not well."

And he added: “The day after this meeting, the first of April, Galtier discovered that our new player, Bilal Al-Ibrahimi (January 2022 deal), fasts the month of Ramadan every day, and there was a shock. He told me that he was very angry and frustrated, but I did not respond to his message, because there were some rumors. Before contracting with the player about whether he was fasting Ramadan or not, what happened disturbed the coach and excluded the player from the Rennes match (April 2, 2022).

And he continued: “I sent a message to Galtier after the match and informed him that I did not respond before the match in order to allow him to focus, and told him that I hope that Bilal’s exclusion was not due to his fasting during the month of Ramadan and that we should talk about Ramadan fasting without harming the team’s performance, with some tolerance and calm towards the players.” Because we need to finish the season well, to prepare for the next season well, and I will not accept those criteria on which the departure or inclusion of new players is determined.

And he continued: “The meeting was on Tuesday, April 5, and I spoke with the coach and informed him that he must stop these shameful behaviors and that if he does not accept the matter, he can leave the club. He was shocked that I spoke to him in such a way.”

And he concluded:

“I was briefing Bob Ratcliffe (one of the other CEOs in the club) with all the transfers required, whether verbal from the coach or written, and he offered me to meet with Galtier and talk to him and ask him to immediately stop these actions that contradict the laws and all the values that the owners of Nice defend.”.

Fournier left Nice at the end of the season before Galtier also left the club and contracted with Paris Saint-Germain, which facilitated the task of the Nice administration to get rid of the coach away from any financial problems regarding the penalty clause.
