Paris-January 24, 2023

It seems that the Argentine star Lionel Messi has

changed his mind about staying in the French league and continuing with his team Paris Saint-Germain, while he started talking about the possibility of returning to his native team, Barcelona.

Messi's contract with the Parisian team expires in the summer of 2023 (June 30). Last December, the newspaper "Le Parisien" and journalist Fabrizio Romano, who specializes in Transfer News, reported that "Leo" reached a preliminary agreement with Saint-Germain to extend his contract for an additional year.

But recent reports have denied this news, with Spanish journalist Gerard Romero saying that the Argentine striker is "hesitant about renewing his contract with PSG and is still considering his options".

"As of today, Leo does not intend to extend his contract with PSG," Romero stated, adding: "winning the World Cup in Qatar has changed his way of thinking, because he attaches importance to other things in the near future.

According to the Spanish newspaper "Marca" :

Barcelona is now considered one of the leading candidates for signing Messi.

Lionel Messi may agree to return to his former club and home.

If he really wants to, then" Leo " will have to part with a significant part of his salary in order to adapt to the current financial situation of the Catalan team.

There are other clubs interested in the services of the 35-year-old star, such as the American Inter Miami, the Saudi Crescent and the Argentine Knowles old boys.
