After his 6-year trip with Liverpool, and a year before the end of his contract, Senegal star Sadio Mane moved to Bayern Munich
After moving to Germany's Bayern Munich, Senegalese ball star Sadio Mane overtook former Liverpool England team-mate Mohamed Salah, becoming Africa's highest paid player.
Senegal star Sadio Mane's move to Bayern could earn the Reds just over £ 30 million, while the 30-year-old receives the equivalent of £ 250 a week.
It is reported that wages are currently a sticking point in Liverpool's negotiations with Mohamed Salah, also a year before his contract expires at Anfield.
Liverpool adopt a fixed wage structure, but the club will have to break it to retain Salah's services, which reportedly seeks £ 400 thousand a week, currently earning 220 Alpha, second only to Mane.
The list of the world's highest paid African players included Algeria's Riyad Mahrez of Manchester City, who shared third place with England's Arsenal midfielder and Ghana's Thomas Partey, at £ 200 thousand a week, the Mirror reported.
In fifth place, Qatari Dam player André Ayew of Ghana was paid £ 180 a week, and then Morocco's Ashraf Hakimi of Paris Saint-Germain was paid £ 176.
In seventh place was Arsenal's England and Côte d'Ivoire's Nicolas Pepe's salary of 140 thousand pounds a week, and in eighth place was Crystal Palace's England compatriot Wilfried Zaha's salary of 130 thousand pounds a week.
