"My fight with Bayern Munich is over. I see no chance of me continuing to play for this club, "Polish goalscorer Robert Lewandowski said at a press conference, announcing the end of his experience with Germany's Bayern Munich, after 8 seasons with the Bavarian giants.
During his presence in Poland's national camp, Lewandowski "blew up" anti-Bayern Munich statements at a press conference, ending any doubts about his continuation with the team.
He added: "Bayern Munich are a serious team and I think they won't keep me with my desire to leave. I don't want to play there again. Transition is the best solution now. I hope they don't stop me from moving ".
The Bayern Munich fans were surprised by Lewandowski's "aggressive" remarks towards the team, who wore their shirt for 8 full seasons, and achieved all local, continental and individual titles.
Lewandowski's contract expires in the summer of 2023, and he has one final season left at Bayern Munich, but the veteran striker has indicated his desire to move this summer.
