Real won 3-1 at Chelsea in London last week, thanks to Benzema's hat-trick, and the English club triumphed with the same result on Tuesday, bringing the two teams to extra time, Benzema sealed things with a 96th-minute header.

At the Santiago Bernabeu, Chelsea led 3-0 through Mason Mount, Antonio Rudiger and Timo Werner in the 15, 51 and 75 minutes respectively, before replacing Rodrigo reduced the gap for the hosts in the 80 minute.

Real Madrid will play in the semifinals with the winner of Wednesday's clash between Atletico Madrid and Manchester City, after the England champions won a clean goal at home last week.
