In an argument that drew attention to the comparison between current Liverpool stars Mohamed Salah and former Lewis Suarez, English football stars Rio Ferdinand and Michael Owen disagreed.
The former England player drew a comparison between Salah's current level, and Suarez's return in the 2013-2014 season, which saw him perform best with Liverpool.
In response to a contrary view of Owen, Ferdinand felt that Salah's level exceeded Suarez, the current Spanish Atletico Madrid player, when he was at the height of his performance at Anfield.
Salah has a brilliant season with Liverpool, scoring 25 goals and making 9 appearances in all 30 competitions, and scoring for Norwich City, Saturday, his 150th goal with the English team.
In the 2013-2014 season in which Liverpool came so close to sniping the English league title, Suarez scored 31 goals and made 17 appearances in 33 appearances in his former team shirt.
Former Manchester United defender Ferdinand explained that he had an argument with former Liverpool attacker Owen, and said on his YouTube channel, "Owen sees that Suarez in his glamour season was better than Salah in the current season, but I objected."
Speaking about the Egyptian player's goal in Chelsea, he added: "At this point, the guns are nailed, and then... Target. You know how many guys he does it against. Caledo Coulibaly at Anfield (referring to Salah's previous goal in the Italian Naples box office). "
Ferdinand continued: "Salah was supposed to be worth between £70 million and £80 million. He's done this constantly for years now. This guy needs more respect. "
