In a televised statement, during the announcement of the strategy and action plan of the Ministry of Sports and the future objectives of Egyptian sport, the Egyptian government

confirmed the intention of the officials to organize the world's largest sporting events, including the hosting of the 2030 World Cup in Egypt, to be done in the coming period, as well as to win the right to host the 2036 Olympic Games.

The "Morgen Post" noted that after the Egyptian government's announcement of its desire to host the 2036 Olympic Games, Egypt was the first African country to host the Olympics, competing in Germany, which was also interested in hosting the big event.

The paper also noted that Africa was the only continent that had not yet hosted any games.

Egypt plans to submit an official request to the International Olympic Committee to host the Olympic Games scheduled for 2036.

The German newspaper Jang Feit suggested that, if approved, Egypt would be the first African country to host the Olympics.
