After complete control from Hamilton throughout the race, on a historic day at the Yass Dock in Abu Dhabi, Verstappen was able to snatch the lead of race 22 and the last in the Formula 1 championship, which was held in the UAE capital Abu Dhabi on the Yass Dock.
That's when Max Verstappen, the Red Bull team driver, achieved the Formula 1 World Championship title on the last lap, outperforming British Lewis Hamilton.
While Hamilton was on his way to Championship 8 in his history, a car accident involving a contestant, introduced a safety car that brought the competitors closer together, taking advantage of Verstappen's chance and outperforming Hamilton on the restart.
The Marcedes team filed a complaint with the organizers over the introduction of the safety car, which helped Verstappen excel on the last lap, having been far from the lead.
With this historic achievement, Vertsaben achieved the first championship in his history, having been even by points with Hamilton before the Abu Dhabi race.
