After a race of accidents, excitement and recriminations between himself and his rival in Red Bull Dutch Max Verstappen, who came second, British Mercedes driver Lewis

Hamilton deferred the World Formula 1 Championship title to the final race in Abu Dhabi, after winning the Saudi Grand Prix, in Jeddah.

Hamilton equalled 369.5 points with Verstappen, but the Dutch driver excels in victories, winning nine races against the seven-time world champion.

Valtteri Bottas snatched Mercedes' third place from Esteban Ocon's Alpine driver just before the finish line, bringing the German team closer to the Manufacturers' Championship.
