The "S" reported that the French coach finished second with Real Madrid, who had previously led him to the league title on two occasions, as well as three Champions League titles since 2015.

Spanish media reports said Zinedine Zidane had decided to leave Real Madrid, a rival in the Spanish Premier Soccer League.

Zidane reportedly informed the management of the club and the first team of his decision, after losing the league title to Atletico Madrid last Saturday.

Real Madrid finished the season in second place two points behind Atletico, as they emerged from the semi-finals of the Champions League and the 32nd in the King's Cup, finishing empty-handed for the first time in 11 years.
