After a strong end to a disappointing season, he was chased by injuries in the Premier League, causing him to lose the championship title. Liverpool beat Crystal Palace 2-0 at Anfield
Sadio Mane shook the net twice to guarantee his English team Liverpool play in the UEFA Champions League next season, winning 2-0 over Crystal Palace at Anfield.
With 10,000 of his audiences in attendance, Liverpool became nervous at the start of the game, and Crystal Palace's Andros Townsend squandered a dangerous opportunity after he intercepted a bad pass from Trent Alexander-Arnold, but was shoved away.
Liverpool's confidence increased over time and several opportunities were created, before Mane broke the inertia in the 36th minute with a close-range goal, after Palace failed to disperse a corner kick by Andy Robertson.
Mane settled the result and qualified for the Champions League with a second left-footed goal in the 74th minute, after a brilliant work by Mohamed Salah.
Liverpool finished the season undefeated in the last 10 games, winning 8 of them. He placed third with 69 points behind champions Manchester City by 17 points.
This was the last match for Palace's coach, Roy Hodgson, who would leave his post at the age of 73.
