Spaniard Andres Iniesta, the current star of the Japanese club Vissel Kobe and former Barcelona, announced today, Wednesday, that he had undergone surgery in his right leg.

The 36-year-old Spanish star published a picture of him in the hospital after the operation, and attached it to him, saying: "The operation was successful, and I feel very good. I will do my best to recover quickly and return to the stadiums as soon as possible."

Iniesta also thanked his Japanese club, Dr. Ramon Kugat, who performed the surgery on him and his medical team, and everyone who sent him good words and wishes.
