Chinese Vice Minister of Industry and Information Technology, Liu Ling, said that 700,000 5G stations have been built across the country, noting that this number is twice the number of 5G bases in the world.

The 5G network currently connects more than 180 million devices in China, as customers are increasingly interested in technology, and the country is preparing to further accelerate the development of 5G and boost investment in this strategic area.

Three of the largest Chinese state telecommunications companies have reported that they will increase their spending on 5G in 2020, to 180 billion yuan ($ 25 billion).

Industry leaders predicted that China's investment in 5G networks will exceed 800 billion yuan (121 billion dollars) from 2021 to 2025.

And according to the latest analysis from the global company for data and technology (ERT), more than half of the European Union member states have not yet started commercial use of 5G, which puts most European countries behind Asian power when it comes to developing 5G networks.
