New features include the ability to share the threads post in direct messages on the Instagram app, and a new way for users to add custom text to videos and photos.

The new features also include a new button for referring to people, enabling users to easily refer to someone else's account, in their "Threads" posts.

How to use the new "threads" features

And users can click on the kite icon in any post on "threads"to share the Post via Instagram Direct Messages.

As for adding custom text, the user has to write a post, then attach videos or photos with it, and then click on the AlT button that appears in the image.

As for referring to other users, threads users can now enter the " @ " symbol and then type the name of the user you want to refer to or choose from the proposals.

Since its launch, the "threads" application has entered into direct competition with the "X" platform, in which billionaire Elon Musk owns the largest share, and "threads" obtained more than 100 million users in the first week of its availability, before losing half of the users again, and its operators are now trying to equip the application with additional features so that users do not abandon it.
