In response to the concern of users when they hand over their phones to phone repair stores, those stores where employees are able to access all the files in these phones, and

the fact that this concern is justified, following the recording of many incidents in which users' data was leaked due to repairs, says The Freege technical news website.

The South Korean company Samsung found a solution to this problem, via limited data access technology while repairing phones.

The new technique is called "maintenance mode", which Samsung hopes will end the problem of leaking data while maintaining phones.

This technology will first be used in Galaxy S21 phones, released last year within South Korea, and the company hopes to expand the use of this technology to more phones in the future.

This service gives technicians limited access to the user's data, for example, without access to the photos and videos in it, and in return allows them to perform the maintenance process with ease.

"Maintenance Mode" works easily by going to Settings, then Battery and Device Care, where it is possible to choose from there a mode that enhances privacy in front of phone repairs.
