The Russian space agency Roscosmos stated: "The Soyuz rocket launched from the Vostushny space base in the Far East of Russia, today Monday with 36 telecommunications and Internet satellites on board in the United Kingdom.

OneWeb, a London-based company, is completing the construction of a low-Earth orbit satellite constellation that provides improved broadband and other services to countries around the world.

The company also competed with billionaires Elon Musk, and Jeff Bezos in the race to provide rapid satellite Internet to remote areas of the world.

Images published by the Russian space agency Roscosmos showed the Soyuz rocket launching against a hazy sky this morning, at 7:14 a.m. local time (2214 GMT).

In this regard, Roscosmos stated in a press release: "All satellites were successfully placed in target orbits and came under customer control." Twitter host: "Operation successfully completed."

The British company plans to operate its own global commercial Internet service by next year, supported by some 650 satellites.

The launch, which took place on Monday, was the third batch of its orbiting satellites from Russia, where 36 satellites were launched earlier in Vostushny last month and in December.

It should be noted that Vostochny is one of the most important Russian space projects and is designed to reduce reliance on the Baikonur Space Centre, which Moscow is currently renting from Kazakhstan.
