According to the study published in the scientific journal Nature Geoscience, the Sun's temperature will rise dramatically in 1 billion years, eliminating life.
The study predicted that oxygen would disappear from the Earth's atmosphere due to the warming of the Sun, which would break down carbon dioxide in the air, leaving plants unable to produce oxygen through photosynthesis.
The depletion of oxygen will coincide with methane levels rising to about 10,000 times the amount currently found in the atmosphere.
These shifts will eliminate animals because they cannot adapt to changes in our atmosphere.
According to those who study, shifts on Earth will eliminate life forms except for bacteria that do not use oxygen or primitive ones that hide in the shade.
