Today, Iranian television announced that a 5.9-magnitude earthquake on the Richter scale hit the Gulf port of Gnawa in Bushehr province, southern Iran.
Iranian television added that the earthquake occurred 10 kilometres deep and was felt in the provinces of Bushehr, Khuzestan and Fars in southern Iran.
He reported that a 4.5-magnitude tremor on the Richter scale hit the southern province of Bushehr in the port of Gnawa.
"Five teams have been sent to the scene of the earthquake, and there have been no reports of casualties so far," the Iranian emergency spokesman said.
It also hit a tremor with 3.9 degrees on the Richter Harbour scale itself.
For his part, the political, security and social deputy of the Governor of Gnawa said: "Rescue teams have been sent to the villages around the port, and given the magnitude of the earthquake, the old houses in the villages are likely to be damaged. The epicenter of the earthquake was the coast of Gnauah Harbour. "
There has also been a new 4.4-degree regression on the Richter scale, and a high alert has been announced in Bushehr province.
In the same vein, the spokesman for the Iranian Emergency Organization, Mujtaba Khaled, announced that 50 ambulances and 5 ambulances had been sent to the earthquake areas and that three field hospitals were being prepared.
Earthquakes have resulted in mountain collapses in Bushehr province, and so far one has been recorded.
