 Since the start of the Russian-Ukrainian war in February 2022, both Russian and Ukrainian presidents Vladimir Putin and Volodymyr Zelensky have been exchanging attacks and accusations, with the latest accusation coming on Wednesday, with Russia claiming that Ukraine attacked the Kremlin in Moscow with drones aimed at assassinating Putin, and on the other hand when Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky expressed confidence in Vladimir Putin's conviction for war crimes.

 The Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) and the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces (RSF) – the two warring factions in Sudan – have agreed to a seven-day ceasefire, the foreign ministry of South Sudan said in a statement Tuesday.

 Taiwan's President Tsai Ing-wen told former US National Security Adviser John Bolton that her country is ready to deepen cooperation, further military, and security exchanges, and economic cooperation with the United States to protect the peace, her office said in a statement.

 US House of Representatives Speaker Kevin McCarthy addressed the Israeli Knesset, at a time of tense relations between the Israeli government and Democratic President Joe Biden.

During a joint press conference held by Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi with Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida, who is currently visiting Cairo at the beginning of an African tour, Sisi affirmed his country's vision on the situation in Sudan, calling for an immediate, permanent and comprehensive cease-fire in Sudan and the importance of refraining from any external party from interfering in the crisis, as a purely Sudanese.
