On the 15th day of the war, Egyptian state television broadcast scenes of trucks carrying Egyptian Red Crescent banners crossing from the crossing, which is the only access to the Gaza Strip to the outside that is not supervised by Israel.

The French Press Agency reported that 20 trucks crossed in the direction of the Strip, which is inhabited by 2.4 million people deprived of water, electricity, fuel and food, and on the Palestinian side of the crossing, empty trucks were seen entering the crossing towards Egypt in preparation for loading them with aid.

Who confirmed that it is working with the Egyptian, Palestinian and Red Crescent Societies to ensure the safe passage of those vital supplies

However, the head of the Government Information Office in Gaza, Salameh Maarouf, said in a statement today that the expected aid trucks

"It will not be able to change the humanitarian disaster that the Gaza Strip is experiencing,"she said

Hundreds of other trucks are waiting in front of the crossing from the Egyptian side or in the city of El-Arish, where Egypt has allocated its airport to receive relief shipments from countries around the world.

The aid is entering Gaza in conjunction with the organization in Cairo of an "international summit for peace" attended by a number of leaders of Arab and Western countries and aimed at a ceasefire.
