Two of the most prominent terrorists were arrested after crossing the border with Syria, west of Nineveh province.

This comes in conjunction with the increasing frequency of ISIS terrorist attacks and movements in Iraq, particularly in areas adjacent to the border with Syria.

In a press release, the cell stated: "With a qualitative operation and after the availability of integrated intelligence, the Directorate of Military Intelligence of the Ministry of Defence, which indicated that there had been a movement by the remnants of ISIS, to cross the border from Syria towards Iraqi territory."

The Security Media Cell followed up: "One of them is the official of the so-called booby-traps, the other is the officer of the storming force. He led the break-in at the Momi police station in Rarhem, in which he participated in the ISIS Spi operations referred to according to intelligence. He had four brothers with ISIS killed during the liberation battles.

According to observers, the arrest of this prominent ISIS terrorist by Iraqi forces, one of the main perpetrators of the enslavement and rape of thousands of ISIS Palestinians, will contribute to the detection of further details and information regarding the crimes and their perpetrators, as thousands of underage women and girls remain unaccounted for after being abducted by the Dasha.
