Sisi stressed that Egypt is sovereign, calling on everyone to respect its sovereignty and
status, and continued: "without any boasting or obfuscation.. Egypt is a very strong and
untouchable country".
The Egyptian President pointed out that Egypt is keen to ease the crisis through the release
of hostages and prisoners in Gaza, and President Sisi stressed Cairo's keenness to play a
positive role in the Palestinian cause .
"Egypt is making great efforts to calm the fighting and release the detainees in Gaza,"he
said.
He also stressed that Egypt is making a great effort to bring humanitarian aid in full to the
Gaza Strip, thanking all the countries that provided assistance.
"Egypt appreciates the UN General Assembly resolution calling for a cessation of hostilities
and the imposition of a humanitarian truce in the Gaza Strip,"he said.
He stressed that it has been repeatedly warned that the expansion of the conflict is not in
the interest of the region, pointing out that the Taba and Nubia incidents are proof that the
escalation in Gaza has effects on the region.
He explained that in this case the area will be a ticking time bomb that will cause harm to
everyone.
He stressed that Egypt's foreign policy is not based on treachery and conspiracy and are
keen to build our country.
The Egyptian president added that "this matter is very important in light of the fact that the
state of anger and impulsiveness in reaction may lead to regret if things get out of control".
The Egyptian army announced on Friday the results of its investigations into the attacks,
which affected the Nuweiba and Taba areas, on the border with Israel.
"By analyzing and collecting information, the results of the investigations have resulted that
a number of (2) unmanned guided aircraft were heading from the south of the Red Sea to
the North,"he said in a statement.
"One of them was targeted outside the Egyptian airspace in the Gulf of Aqaba, resulting in
some of its debris falling in an uninhabited area in Nuweiba, in addition to the other in
Taba,"he added.
"The Air Force and the air defense forces are intensifying the work of securing the Egyptian
airspace in all strategic directions of the state,"he stressed.
It is noteworthy that Israel said on Friday evening that " the drones that landed in the
Egyptian cities of Taba and Nuweiba were launched by the Yemeni Ansar Allah group, which
was primarily targeting them.
