"China is ready to do everything that can lead to the promotion of dialogue, the achievement of a ceasefire, the restoration of peace and the implementation of the two-

state solution," Chinese envoy to the Middle East Zhai jiyun said, noting that Beijing has provided and will continue to provide emergency humanitarian assistance to the

Palestinians through the United Nations and bilateral channels to alleviate the humanitarian crisis.

"The situation in Gaza is very serious, and there is a real danger that the conflict will escalate on a larger scale,"Chae-Geun said.

Before a visit to the region, the Chinese envoy said that he had spoken with the foreign ministers of Palestine, Israel, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates and

Norway, as well as special representatives of the United Nations and the European Union, noting that his country "will continue in the coming stage to maintain close contacts

with all parties in the international community, including Arab countries,"the Chinese envoy added. According to the "Reuters" news agency.

Chinese President Xi Jinping stressed earlier that the top priority now is a ceasefire as soon as possible to avoid the conflict expanding or getting out of control and causing a

serious humanitarian crisis.

Xi Jinping stressed that the two-state solution to establish the state of Palestine is the "basic way" out of the ongoing war between the resistance and Israel.

The escalation in Gaza began with the attack launched by the Palestinian resistance, called Operation "Al-Aqsa flood", on October 7, which included simultaneous attacks by

land, sea and air, targeting Israeli military sites, airports and fortifications in Jerusalem, Tel Aviv and Ashdod, met by the occupation army with an unprecedented escalation

towards the residents of the Gaza Strip, during which shelling and the use of internationally prohibited weapons continued, pushing Palestinians from the north of the Strip to

the south in attempts described by the United Nations as forced displacement.
