During his speech at the Cairo peace summit 2023, on Saturday, Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi announced a road map aimed at ending the current humanitarian tragedy of the Palestinian people and reviving the path of peace.

The axes of the roadmap announced by the Egyptian president were as follows:

- Ensuring the full, safe, rapid and sustainable flow of humanitarian aid to the people of Gaza.

- Immediately proceed to the negotiation of a truce and a ceasefire.

- The urgent start of negotiations to revive the peace process towards the realization of the two-state solution.

- The establishment of an independent Palestinian state living side by side with Israel, on the basis of the decisions of international legitimacy.

- To strengthen the legitimate Palestinian national authority to fully carry out its tasks in the Palestinian Territories.
