Alleviates the humanitarian suffering in the Gaza Strip as the war enters its eighth day

Egypt has linked allowing the passage of those with US citizenship to its territory with an agreement that includes the introduction of aid to Gaza

A number of US citizenship holders, mostly Palestinians, had arrived on the Palestinian side of the Rafah crossing, where they waited there for several hours, according to our correspondent in Gaza

Earlier, US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken said that his country is seeking to get foreigners out of Gaza through the Rafah crossing

A senior official at the US State Department said that the plan is to open the crossing from noon to five in the evening today

On Saturday, the official said that Washington and Cairo had agreed to open the Rafah crossing to Americans.
