Belgorod governor Vyacheslav Gladkov said that the wreckage of the two drones fell on a road in the yakovlevsky district and there were no victims.
The Ukrainian military said it expected Russia to start a major mobilization campaign soon to try to recruit hundreds of thousands of additional soldiers from inside Russia and occupied Ukraine.
In a statement, the General Staff said, "it is expected that Russia will begin to complete a mass forced mobilization of the population soon within the Russian Federation and the occupied territories of Ukraine due to the catastrophic losses suffered by the occupiers.
Earlier today, the British Ministry of Defense said in a daily briefing that it believes that Russia will try to recruit 420 thousand fighters by the end of this year, at the same time, it is likely that the Russian authorities will seek to avoid "further unpopular mobilization" in the run-up to the next Russian presidential election, which is expected to be held in March 2024.
