In the context of the ongoing war between Russia and Ukraine, and against the backdrop of the Ukrainian counteroffensive, the Russian Defense Ministry announced today that all attempts by Ukrainian forces to launch attacks were thwarted and suffered heavy losses in lives and materiel amounting to at least 600 dead and dozens of military vehicles.

The ministry said in a statement that the Russian air-space forces carried out last night a strike with high-precision long-range weapons targeting a training base for groups of Ukrainian troops.

On the Donetsk axis, Russian forces, in cooperation with the aviation and artillery corps, foiled 10 attacks by Ukrainian groups, inflicting significant losses on the Ukrainian forces, where more than 280 soldiers were eliminated, a tank was destroyed, and a number of other military mechanisms.

On the Krasny Lyman axis 50 Ukrainian soldiers were eliminated, two armored vehicles and a self-propelled artillery platform were destroyed.

On the Zaporozhye axis, Russian troops, supported by aviation, artillery and heavy flamethrower systems, repelled 4 enemy attacks, Ukrainian troops suffered losses of 40 soldiers, a tank, combat vehicles and American-made self-propelled guns were also destroyed.

On the Kherson axis, as a result of air raids and Russian artillery fire, enemy losses amounted to 65 soldiers, 4 vehicles and two "howitzers".

Over the past day, Russian air defense systems intercepted 12 missiles fired by American "HIMARS" systems, and 17 Ukrainian drones were shot down.

On the same level, according to Russian reports, the Russian Air Force on Wednesday launched a strike with long-range high-precision weapons on the training base of groups of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, and the target was confirmed to have been accurately hit.

Earlier, Russian troops carried out air strikes and artillery shelling on groups of fighters from the Ukrainian "Azov" group in an area overlooking the serebryansky forest, killing about 30 fighters.
