which signed the framework agreement on December 5, 2022; A senior leader of the Central Council of the Forces for Freedom and Change (FFC) "shouted" that the Sudanese army chief had made telephone contact with Omar al-Dakeer, the FFC leader, in which he reaffirmed the commitment of the armed forces to work to stop the war through the Jeddah platform.

The Central Council of the Declaration of Freedom and Change also confirmed that it had reached out to Mohamed Hamdan Dagalo, commander of the Rapid Support Council, who had confirmed the work to stop the war.

The Council was encouraged by its contacts with the army and rapid support for a permanent or long-term ceasefire until a final solution to the cessation of war was reached.

The Forces for Freedom and Change (FFC) intensified their movements over the past days by convening an extensive meeting in the Egyptian capital, Cairo, at which it endorsed an action plan to call for the cessation of the war that the National Convention -- the political wing of the Brotherhood's organization -- had launched and demanded its designation as a terrorist group.

"It is natural that the right national position and the human conscience to stop the war, which has been our position in freedom and change for the first day, should be aligned; On the contrary, it was the attitude of the remnants who beat the drums of this war and puffed into Kierha and still thought it would open the way for them to return to power ".

At the invitation of the European Union, a number of FFC political leaders discussed ways to halt the war in the Sudan and return to the civilian trajectory during Thursday's meetings in Brussels, with the participation of a number of African Union and European Union envoys and ambassadors to the Sudan.

The European Union said it supported efforts to stop the war and put pressure on both sides through a package of measures announced days earlier. It also stressed support for the Sudanese people's choices to achieve peace and stability and restore democratic civilian rule.
