The Sudanese Foreign Ministry said in a statement that "this is a flagrant violation of international law and the norms on the inviolability and protection of the premises and property of diplomatic missions," according to the Sudanese news agency "SUNA".

The statement added that "the rebel militia managed to steal a number of diplomatic cars from the headquarters of the Chinese embassy, tampering with documents and vandalizing furniture, and also broke into the ambassador's House and the embassy of the state of Palestine for the fourth time, and also broke into the House of the ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman and stole carpets, furniture, valuables and electrical and electronic devices.

The statement concluded by saying that "the Sudanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs reiterates its condemnation of this terrorist and criminal behavior, and calls on the international community to condemn it in the strongest terms and consider it a terrorist organization and hold it legally and morally responsible".

The Saudi Foreign Ministry said in a statement that both the kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the United States, sponsors of the negotiations between the two sides, are keen on the continuation of talks and dialogue between representatives of the two military forces.

She pointed out that the army and rapid support delegations are present in Jeddah despite the suspension of the Jeddah talks a few days ago, stressing that the Kingdom and America stand by their commitment to the Sudanese people.

It also called for the renewal of the truce despite the suspension of talks between the parties, and its effective implementation with a view to a permanent cessation of military operations.

Last Wednesday, the Sudanese army announced the suspension of its participation in talks with the Rapid Support forces in the Saudi city of Jeddah, accusing the rapid support of not adhering to the terms of the agreement and continuing to violate the ceasefire truce.

The two sides, mediated by the United States and Saudi Arabia, reached a truce agreement that will be valid for a week starting from the evening of Monday, May 22, but the atmosphere of tension and intermittent clashes continue despite the truce.

Since April 15, large-scale violent clashes have been taking place between the Sudanese army and the Rapid Support forces in various areas of Sudan, mostly concentrated in the capital Khartoum, leaving hundreds of dead and injured civilians, while there is no official count of military casualties on both sides of the military conflict.
