"These positions are a license to kill Palestinian citizens, and calls for an unjustified military escalation, reflecting an expansionist colonial mentality to consecrate the gradual annexation of the West Bank and an attempt to break the steadfastness of the Palestinian people,"the Foreign Ministry said in a press statement.
She stressed that" the racist statements of the extremist Ben Ghafir are calls to deepen ethnic cleansing and kill the largest number of citizens in the West Bank, in preparation for replacing them with settlers, "calling on"the international community to declare an explicit position on this fascist minister by boycotting and prosecuting him.
The statement stressed that "Ben-Ghafir's demand to expand the circle of assassinations makes it clear that it is not part of the policy of the right to self-defense, as they claim, but is to terrorize Palestinian citizens towards submission, despondency and surrender on the one hand, and in order to sow devastation, destruction and chaos so that the Israeli side can use all its military capabilities and superiority in all areas of war, to include it within its capabilities in aggression against our people.
This comes after Ben-Ghafir , commenting on the ceasefire agreement between the Palestinian Islamic Jihad Movement and the Israeli forces, demanded on Saturday evening that "the next operation will be in the West Bank".
At ten o'clock on Saturday evening, after 5 days of an Israeli escalation in Gazza and targeting the positions and leaders of the Palestinian "Islamic Jihad" Movement, an Egyptian-sponsored ceasefire agreement entered into force, including stopping the targeting of civilians and individuals and not demolishing houses.
Since the dawn of last Tuesday, Israel has been launching a military operation on the Gaza Strip called "shield and arrow", while on Wednesday, Palestinian factions began firing rocket bursts towards Israeli territory, during which they expanded the circle of fire to reach Tel Aviv and other areas in the center of the country.
The Israeli shelling on Gaza, since dawn on Tuesday, killed 33 Palestinians, including 6 children and 3 women, and 6 leaders of the "Al-Quds Brigades", the military wing of the Islamic Jihad movement, while rocket shelling from the Gaza Strip on Israel killed an Israeli in the city of Rehovot (center) and injured others.
