Russian President Vladimir Putin stressed during the military parade in Moscow on the occasion of victory in World War II that a new war is being waged against Russia Today, and that the goal of Russia's opponents is to dismantle and destroy it.

  In his speech, Putin noted that human civilization is now facing a decisive turn, and said: "A real war is being waged again on our homeland, but we have countered international terrorism and we will also protect the people of Donbas and ensure our security.

"Like the overwhelming majority on our planet, we want to see a peaceful, free, and stable future," he added.

Putin stressed that" the future of the Russian state depends on the participants of the special military operation " and that the whole country is ready to support the heroes.

Putin said in a speech on the occasion of Victory Day that the world is witnessing a "turning point", stressing that Moscow wants to see a peaceful future.

"Western elites are showing hostility and hatred towards Russia," the Russian president said.

"The fateful battles for our people have always been sacred, we are confident of reaching the moral endings and results and we bow to everyone who is fighting on the front, with what the future of our people is connected, we are all ready to help and pray for you," he added.

Putin stressed that" the anniversary of the victory is sacred for Russia, we value the participants in this victory, "and that"an attempt to distort the results of the Second World War will blow up the Centers of development, and Western imperialism will turn the world into a tragedy.

Russia is marking the anniversary this year with a military parade on Red Square amid heightened security measures following a series of drone attacks, including one on the Kremlin itself, which Moscow blames on Ukraine.
