According to TASS said a Turkish diplomatic confirmed that the Turkish Foreign Ministry summoned the US envoy over the visit of the US Chief of Staff Mark Milley to Syria.

US Department of State Spokesperson Ned Price commented on the summoned of US Ambassador Jeff Flake by the Turkish foreign minister over the visit of the US Chiefs of Staff Mark Milley to Syria ;
"We can confirm that ambassador Flake did go to the Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs today for meetings and for discussions," Price said.

Price also commented about the Turkish worries over the visit of the US ambassador to Syria, and said;

Chairman of the US Joint Chiefs of Staff Mark Milley met only with US service members during a visit to Syria, US Department of State Spokesperson Ned Price commented
"The US army chief does pop up around the world to visit with US service members, that’s what he did in this context," the US Department of State spokesperson stressed, adding that Milley had only met with US troops.

A diplomatic source in the Turkish capital of Ankara told TASS earlier that the country’s Foreign Ministry had summoned the US ambassador over Milley’s visit to Syria.
