After the fierce battles in the city of Solidar،

Northeast of Bakhmut, Russian media reports that Russian troops are making significant progress in the Bakhmut region

The adviser to the acting governor of the "Donetsk Republic", Igor kemakovsky, announced that Russian troops are making serious progress in the artyomovsk region, the Russian name for Bakhmut.

This was stated in kemakovsky's talk for the "Solovyov live" channel on the "Telegram"application.

"Artillery is shelling enemy troops, and in some areas they can no longer get out of the trenches, which is now manifested in the direction of Donetsk, where the number of attacks on the city has decreased, which indicates that our troops are starting to work more efficiently," kemakovsky added. Therefore, we have some progress in the direction of Avdiivka, serious progress towards artyomovsk,"he said.

The Russian Defense Ministry had reported that airborne units had blocked the entrances to the city of soledar from the North and South, and that offensive detachments were fighting inside the city.

For his part, the founder of the "Wagner" group Yevgeny prigozin announced that the city of Solidar has been completely liberated, and according to acting governor of the Donetsk Republic Denis Pushilin, the chances of freeing Bakhmut have now doubled.

The importance of the situation in the Bakhmut region, which is the main logistics center, is due to the fact that it will allow Russia to place its artillery troops in new positions, increase pressure on the Ukrainian supply lines leading to the city of Bakhmut, and thus break through the front along the Bakhmut-Seversk line, where the city is located on a number of Main Roads in the region.

Control over Bakhmut will allow moving towards large cities still controlled by Kiev in the Donbass, such as Slavyansk and Kramatorsk.
