Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said that the statements of US officials from the Pentagon about delivering a "decapitation blow" to the Kremlin, in fact, are a threat of physical liquidation of the head of State Vladimir Putin.
"Washington went further than everyone, there, some officials from the Pentagon threatened to deliver a decapitation blow to the Kremlin, in fact, we are talking about a threat of physical liquidation of the head of the Russian state,"the Russian Foreign Minister added in a statement to TASS.
"If someone sponsors such ideas, he should think carefully about the possible consequences of such plans,"Lavrov warned.
Lavrov also recalled the statements made by Western officials, their actions and references to a nuclear confrontation, adding: "it seems that they have completely abandoned tact. It is clear that (former British prime minister) Liz Truss announced during the pre-election debate that she was quite ready to order a nuclear strike,"he said.
Referring to the provocations committed by the Kiev regime, the Russian Foreign Minister said: "not to mention the irrational provocations of the Kiev regime. Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky even went so far as to demand that NATO countries launch pre-emptive nuclear strikes on Russia. This also goes beyond the limits of what is acceptable,"he said.
In the context, Lavrov said that Moscow's proposals on "Disarmament" and "elimination of Nazism" in Ukraine are well known to Kiev, and it is up to the Ukrainian authorities to fulfill them, otherwise the Russian military will decide on this issue.
"Our proposals for disarmament, getting rid of Nazism in the territories controlled by the regime and eliminating threats to Russia's security emanating from there, including our new territories, are known to the enemy,"Lavrov was quoted by the official Russian news agency as saying.
He added: "It's simple. Do it for your own good, otherwise it will be the Russian army that will decide the matter,"he said.
