A senior US military source revealed that the US forces have begun training the Ukrainian army to use the advanced "Patriot" air defense system, which has a number of its platforms in eastern Romania and its north on the border with Ukraine

The US official added that the training process on the "Patriot" is being conducted secretly, justifying this by the fact that Washington has not yet made any political decision on when to introduce this system to Ukraine, which in the eyes of the Pentagon is a factor that will change the rules of the military balance with Russia

He also explained that the use of "Patriot" systems, if they arrive in Kiev, will be limited to facing the threat of Russian ballistic missiles that bomb civilians, without activating them against booby-trapped marches, because "Patriot" interceptor missiles are high in cost
