In a sign that the West seeks to maintain its dominance on the planet, Russian President Vladimir Putin considered Thursday that the world is entering into a contract that is "the most dangerous" since World War II
Speaking at the Valdai forum in Moscow, Putin said: "We are at a historic moment. We are undoubtedly facing the most dangerous, the most important, the most unpredictable decade" since 1945.
Putin added that" the West is not in a position to lead the world, but it is desperately striving, and most of the world's peoples cannot accept this, "stressing that the planet is"in a revolutionary situation".
Putin noted that the attack on Ukraine is part of this "change for the entire world order".
Shortly before that, Putin described his confrontation with the West, especially in the context of his attack on Ukraine, as a battle for the survival of Russia.
"Russia does not challenge the West, Russia only defends its right to exist," he said, accusing the Americans and Westerners of wanting to "destroy (Russia) and erase it from the map," in new accusations he makes against his geopolitical opponents who support and arm Ukraine to confront the Russian army.
