Addressing the Russian Energy Week Forum, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced that Moscow was ready to resume gas supplies to Europe through the unaffected part of the Nord Stream pipeline
Putin said that the major leaks in the Nord Stream gas pipelines from Russia to Europe were "an international terrorist act," stressing that they were in the interest of the United States, Poland and Ukraine.
The Russian President described the attack on the Nord Stream pipeline as a "dangerous precedent threatening energy infrastructure around the world".
Putin added: "Those responsible for the attack on the two Nord Stream pipelines want to undermine political stability in Europe."
Putin continued: "The beneficiary of the Nord Stream line sabotage is clear to everyone," noting that European countries are "responsible for rising energy prices, that developing countries will pay a more expensive price for energy, and that the United States is supplying energy to European countries at very expensive prices."
At the same time, he noted that "the ball is in the European Union stadium." A cap on oil prices discussed by European leaders was considered a "threat to the well-being of billions of people", after announcing that Russia would not sell it to countries applying the resolution.
He stressed that his country is ready to "fulfil the oil and gas supply contracts under the terms signed via Nord Stream 2," pointing out that "Nord Stream reform is possible but if it continues to be economically viable and secure."
"The regime in Ukraine is exercising terrorism by targeting the Crimea Bridge and the Zapurugya nuclear plant".
