At a press conference at the United Nations, Linda Thomas-Greenfield, Washington's representative to the United Nations, said her country did not provide any weapons to Ukrainians that would allow them to attack Russia, but "defensive weapons."

This came as reported by CNN in its Arabic version.

"We do not provide any weapons that allow Ukrainians to attack Russia from inside Ukraine," the US ambassador said.

President Joe Biden was "very clear about it, that we will not be a party to the war, but we will support Ukraine's efforts to defend its sovereignty and territorial integrity."

Yesterday, Biden said that his country "will not send anything that could fire on Russia", with successive calls by Ukrainians for international partners to provide them with multiple missile systems (MLRS).

Last week, CNN reported, citing unnamed officials, that the Biden administration was preparing to provide more advanced weapons to Ukraine by sending advanced long-range missile systems.
