Today, the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs called on all parties involved in the Ukrainian issue to remain calm, ease tensions and resolve differences through dialogue and negotiation.

"China is concerned about the evolution of the situation in Ukraine and China's position on the Ukrainian crisis is consistent," said the Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Wang Wen, noting that the legitimate security concerns of any State should be respected and that the purposes and principles of the Charter of the United Nations should be upheld.

The spokesman for the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs added that the current situation in the Ukrainian crisis was closely related to the delay in the implementation of the new Minsk Convention, and China would continue to maintain contacts with all parties concerned in accordance with the facts of the same case.
