One British newspaper reported today that America and China are entering a Cold War scenario, after Beijing beat Washington in developing new missiles with a heat - seeking technology that exceeds the speed of sound.

According to the British newspaper, what increased tension in relations between the two superpowers was the development of highly sophisticated weapons by both countries as the race continued to dominate the Indian and Pacific Oceans.

It seems that Beijing's move is something that Washington has not yet been able to match, as Chinese scientists consider that the U.S. military may be unable to possess this technology for many years to come.

The Daily Express added that this technology allows a rocket with a higher speed of sound to search for a target, determine it and stabilize it on the basis of its thermal prediction when flying at low altitudes where the air is denser, and the British newspaper also indicated that this means that rockets can hit moving vehicles on the street with unsuspecting accuracy and speed.
