To confront Iran and stop its nuclear ambitions, Israeli Defense Minister Benny Gants said today that he looked forward to deepening dialogue with the United States on joint military readiness.

For his part, the United States Secretary of Defense said that he was very concerned about Iran's nuclear activities and the lack of constructive diplomatic communication.

If the current policy on Iran failed, Biden clearly said it was "ready to move on to other options."

According to a senior American official, the American-Israeli agenda today might include discussions on possible military exercises that would prepare for the destruction of Iran's nuclear facilities in the event of a failure of diplomatic endeavours.

President Yitzhak Herzog said last week that if the international community did not take the "necessary steps" to thwart Iran's nuclear project, Israel would have to defend itself.

"In the absence of such a solution, Israel still retains all the options that will remain on the table," he added.
