Foreign Minister Dmytro Koleba of Ukraine today warned Russia not to stop acting on his country.
The Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine said: "If Russia does not stop its actions in Ukraine, it will see actions and not just messages."
Dmitro Coliba added: "Russia is using gas as a weapon, and we look forward to Germany taking steps to put pressure on it, and we want to strengthen our defense capabilities, so we need everything that helps in this area."
A United States Navy destroyer entered the Black Sea near Crimea last Thursday as part of a NATO exercise and was warmly welcomed by Ukraine, but monitored and followed by the Russian Navy.
One news agency reported that the United States Navy destroyer Mount Whitney had entered the Black Sea to conduct naval exercises with NATO allies, adding that the Black Sea, particularly the area near Crimea, which Russia annexed from Ukraine in 2014, was a sensitive security area for Moscow.
One news agency also quoted the Russian Ministry of Defense as saying that "the forces and means of the Black Sea fleet have begun to monitor the movements of the American destroyer Mount Whitney."
