Following the resumption of the strategic dialogue between Egypt and the United States for the first time since 2015, former diplomats and experts predicted that the round of strategic dialogue between Egypt and the United States, currently held in Washington, would result in understandings and the coordination of joint efforts to stabilize the region and find solutions to crises.
They said that this was restoring the momentum for relations between the two countries and was also an important step towards deepening relations and meeting the challenges.
At the same time, it was not excluded that the Strategic Dialogue had established an "institutional framework" for dialogue, defined a session and established political, economic and military committees to follow up on the various issues between the two sides.
Egyptian Foreign Ministers Sameh Shoukry and his United States counterpart, Anthony Plinkin, discussed ways to strengthen relations, and many issues of interest to both sides from the Sudan to Libya, in order to block the renaissance.
My thanks and Blinkin opened the two-day strategic dialogue to look at advancing bilateral cooperation in a manner commensurate with the depth and strength of strategic relations between the two countries.
Foreign Ministry spokesman Ambassador Ahmed Hafez said that Minister Shoukry commended the growing bilateral relations at all levels and stressed the importance of further intensifying political consultation and coordination between the two countries on the files of bilateral relations and issues of concern.
He looked forward to the outcome of the Strategic Dialogue reflecting the distinction and specificity of relations between Cairo and Washington.
Reference is made to the possibility that, in this institutional framework, specific specific committees may emerge for different aspects of political, military and economic relations, with ongoing bilateral contacts.
In bilateral relations, Egyptian-American relations have different aspects, including the security, military, economic and cultural aspects between the two countries.
