With a view to creating a state of false panic among the people and the international community, "Ethiopian Prime Minister Abi Ahmed said," Ethiopia's enemies promoted the collapse of the capital, Addis Ababa, and the flight of officials to neighbouring countries.
This came during a speech by him, during a fundraising ceremony for the Ethiopian Defence Forces by the Department of the City of Addis Ababa, according to Government Radio Fana.
Ahmed added that his country was being subjected to attempts of subjugation, ripping off freedom and hitting the economy by multiple foreign Powers supporting their enemies on the ground of ongoing battles, false media campaigns and diplomatic propaganda.
He continued: "We believe that the exam in which we have placed our enemies close to us and far away is as much as we can, and these enemies have made strenuous efforts to dismantle Ethiopia and its peoples, but they have rejected these attempts to subjugate them and take away their freedom."
He stressed that "with their unity, the Ethiopian will be able to defeat this gathering of enemies and will soon be dismantled, not far away."
He cautioned against methods used by Ethiopia's enemies: "They promoted the collapse of the capital, Addis Ababa, and the escape of officials to neighbouring countries in order to create a state of false panic among the people and the international community, but all their attempts failed."
The leader of the Oromo forces allied to the Tigray Liberation Front (TPLF) reportedly said that the end of the Government of Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed had become "very close," confirming that his forces had approached the capital, Addis Ababa.
Military Commander Jal Moro added that "I am sure it will be over very soon," claiming that pro-Government fighters have begun dissent, while the Ethiopian Government denies all statements and statements indicating the superiority or progress of "terrorists."
